Dubai to Fujairah Bus Timings

Dubai to Fujairah Bus Timings: The E700 Route

The E700 is the direct bus between Dubai and Fujairah. It runs from Etisalat Bus Station, beside the e& metro station at the northern end of the Green Line, to Fujairah Bus Station, via Al Dhaid and Masafi. The fare is AED 30 by Nol card, the journey takes about two hours, and buses run roughly every 100 minutes. From Dubai they leave between 07:30 and 22:30. From Fujairah the last bus back is at about 20:00.

Before you travel
  1. Go to Etisalat Bus Station, not Union, the E700 no longer starts there.
  2. Check the return first: the last bus from Fujairah is around 20:00.
  3. Load at least AED 30 onto a Nol card, plus a margin.

The Dubai to Fujairah bus at a glance

Fujairah is the only emirate on the Gulf of Oman rather than the Arabian Gulf, so this journey crosses the Hajar mountains instead of running along the coast. It is one of the most scenic bus rides in the country, and one of the least frequent.

With well over an hour and a half between buses, this is a route to plan rather than turn up for. Miss one and you face a long wait, often at a stop with little shelter.

The E700 route and stops

Many older guides say the E700 starts at Union. RTA’s current route list gives Etisalat Bus Station as the Dubai end, and current schedule data agrees. If you head to Union for this bus, you will not find it.

Masafi is the natural halfway marker, sitting in the mountains and known for its Friday market and its spring water. Al Dhaid, in Sharjah’s inland territory, is the other significant stop. Both are worth a visit in their own right if you do not want the full run to the coast.

Etisalat Bus Station sits next to the metro station that was renamed e&, at the northern end of the Green Line. From Sharjah, the E315 runs straight there from Al Muwailah, which is the easiest way for Sharjah residents to reach this bus. See our E315 guide and our Sharjah to Fujairah bus guide.

Dubai to Fujairah bus timings

RTA publishes operating hours and frequency for this route rather than a fixed departure list. These are the hours in current schedule data, which are the same every day of the week.

Item Detail
From Etisalat Bus Station, Dubai
First bus About 07:30
Last bus About 22:30
Frequency About every 100 minutes, roughly ten buses a day
Arrival guide About 2 hours after departure

The first bus at about 07:30 reaches Fujairah around 09:30, which still leaves a good day at the coast. There is no earlier bus from Dubai, so the dawn starts that some older guides describe are no longer possible.

Fujairah to Dubai bus timings

This is the direction most likely to strand you. The Fujairah timetable runs about two and a half hours earlier than the Dubai one, so the last bus back leaves while buses are still heading out of Dubai.

Item Detail
From Fujairah Bus Station
First bus About 05:00
Last bus About 20:00
Frequency About every 100 minutes
Difference vs Dubai Starts and finishes about two and a half hours earlier

The early pattern suits Fujairah residents travelling to Dubai for the day: out from 05:00, back on an evening bus from Etisalat. For a visitor from Dubai it is the other way round, and the 20:00 last departure is the deadline that matters. With 100 minutes between buses, aim for the one before it, at around 18:20, to keep a margin. Confirm the final departure on the S’hail app before committing to an evening at the beach.

Fare and payment

Item Detail
Dubai to Fujairah AED 30
Fujairah to Dubai AED 30
Payment Nol card or Red ticket
Suggested balance At least AED 35 each way
Older quoted fare AED 25, now out of date

Many guides still give AED 25 for this route. If you load only that, you will be turned away at the reader, and on a route with 100 minutes between buses that is an expensive mistake. Top up at the e& metro station before you walk to the bus. Our Nol card guide covers the card types, and the wider fare picture is in our UAE bus timings guide.

Planning a day trip

Fujairah works as a day trip by bus, but only if you build the plan backwards from the return.

  1. Take the first bus from Etisalat, at about 07:30, to get the longest day.
  2. Fix your return before anything else. The last bus leaves Fujairah at about 20:00.
  3. Aim for the second-to-last departure, not the last, to keep a margin.
  4. Consider breaking the journey at Masafi if you want the mountain scenery.

Traffic is rarely the problem on this route, since most of it runs on open road away from the congested northern corridors. The mountain section slows things a little, but the schedule allows for it. If you are driving instead, our UAE traffic, vehicle and fines guide covers fines and vehicle checks.
